At just 26, Khanyisile has already shown that the path to purpose doesn’t always follow a straight line. With a background in Health Sciences and an Honours degree in Psychology, she didn’t expect to enter the world of logistics — but it turned out to be exactly where she belongs.
From Intern to Logistics Administrator
“Each day brings a new challenge — and that keeps me growing,” she says. She now works as a Logistics Administrator at Life Green Group’s Johannesburg branch, where she plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.
Although she didn’t formally study logistics, Khanyisile adapted quickly. “I was offered the chance to work as a Logistics Administrator and decided to learn and grow in the role,” she explains. To support her learning, she enrolled in a Logistics Management certificate course. This mix of hands-on work, mentorship, and eagerness to learn helped her gain the skills she needed to succeed.
Thriving in a Fast-Paced Role
What excites her most about the job? The dynamic nature of logistics. “I enjoy the structure and problem-solving. From vehicle updates to inspections and supporting drivers, every detail counts. It feels great to be part of the team that keeps everything moving.”
Her journey has not been without challenges. One of her biggest personal wins is staying calm and effective in high-pressure situations. “I’ve grown more confident in communicating. I used to be quite shy, but now I speak up, lead conversations, and engage with people.”
Her proudest achievement? Earning her Logistics Management Certificate while balancing work. “It improved my technical knowledge and communication skills. I’ve grown both professionally and personally.”
Inspired by Youth Month
Khanyisile views Youth Month as a powerful platform. “It honours the sacrifices of past generations and reminds us, as young people, that we have the power to shape what comes next. Highlighting youth in the workplace encourages growth, innovation, and lasting impact.”
