At Life Green Group, we believe in celebrating young professionals who embody HR excellence and are actively shaping the future of the workplace. Mphoentle Mathane, a 24-year-old Human Resource Administrator based at our Head Office in Johannesburg, is one such individual. With only a year and six months at LGG, her dedication and growth have already made a lasting impact.

A Path Built on Passion and Purpose

Mphoentle’s journey began with a strong curiosity about human behaviour and a genuine interest in South African labour legislation. That passion led her to pursue a degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology with Labour Relations Management, followed by an Honours in Labour Relations Management.

“Shortly after finishing my exams, I began my career at Life Green Group,” she explains. Her drive and commitment saw her progress from HR Clerk to HR Administrator in just over a year—a journey that reflects her work ethic and love for continuous learning.

What Drives Her Each Day

When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Mphoentle highlights the growth mindset that defines her environment:

“I love growth and this place has allowed me to grow within my role, which I am truly grateful for.”

Being surrounded by support and opportunities to develop new skills gives her motivation each day.

Finding Confidence Through the Role

Starting out as a naturally shy person, Mphoentle shares how her role has challenged her to come out of her shell and embrace confidence:

“Since starting my career, I’ve learned that personal growth often comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone.”

Her professional development is matched by personal growth, reflecting the holistic impact of meaningful work.

What Youth Month Means to Her

For Mphoentle, Youth Month is more than a celebration—it’s a reminder of the potential young professionals bring to the table:

“Young professionals are the leaders of tomorrow, and it’s important to provide them with the support, visibility, and opportunities they need to grow.”

By spotlighting young talent, she believes we help build environments where they feel seen, valued, and empowered.

Small Wins, Big Impact

Whether it’s assisting a colleague or solving a process challenge, Mphoentle takes pride in the positive differences she makes daily.

“Even the small wins remind me why I love what I do.”

It’s this humble but powerful mindset that embodies HR excellence—a commitment to people, growth, and integrity.
