At Life Green Group, growth comes in many forms — not just in gardens. For Phillipine Mohlahlo, a marketing specialist who began her career in horticulture, growth has meant evolving, adapting, and using her creativity rooted in purpose to help others shine along the way.

Where Creativity Meets Horticulture

Phillipine studied horticulture out of a deep love for nature and the environment, driven by a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the world around her. Alongside this, she has always been passionate about creativity and design. Today, she’s found a rare and powerful combination — blending sustainability with creative strategy in a way that gives life to both people and brands.

She began her career in sales, where she learned the importance of understanding people, products, services, and communication. That early exposure to human connection and brand messaging helped shape her transition into marketing. It also led her to discover a unique niche: marketing for the agri-business and environmental sectors.

“Understanding both the industry and the audience made it easier to tell stories that connect,” she says.

To sharpen her skills, Phillipine completed a social media management course online and continues to attend free training sessions and webinars to stay inspired and informed. “I always try to learn — whether it’s through short courses, webinars, or self-study. Every bit of knowledge helps me bring more value to the work I do.”

Today, she uses that blend of creativity and sustainability to manage social media, blog content, branding materials, and internal communication across Life Green Group’s divisions — always working to bring purpose and meaning into every message.

Bridging Divisions Through Communication

Since joining Life Green Group, Phillipine has worked closely with various departments to support their marketing goals. From posters and newsletters to digital campaigns and reports, she ensures messaging stays consistent — and people-focused.

She enjoys the balance of planning and hands-on creative work. But what keeps her going? The people.

“What makes me excited to come to work is helping others. Many colleagues trust me with their ideas and sometimes even their personal challenges. Being able to support and uplift others gives my work deeper meaning.”

Proud Moments and Personal Growth

One of Phillipine’s proudest moments was registering for her Master’s degree — a goal she had set for herself long ago. Balancing work and studies isn’t always easy, but it reflects her deep commitment to personal growth. She is equally proud of initiating the LGG Youth Month 2025 spotlight campaign. It began with a simple idea: to shine a light on the young people building their careers within Life Green Group — in real roles, doing real work, with real ambition.

“I wanted to give our young people a voice,” she explains. “Sometimes the most inspiring stories come from the quietest people. If we don’t tell them, who will?”

Watching the campaign unfold and seeing how deeply it resonated across teams has brought Phillipine a profound sense of fulfilment. “Through these spotlights, I’ve seen how much people want to be seen, heard, and valued — and that makes me incredibly happy. It shows the purpose behind this campaign has truly come to life.”

What Youth Month Means to Her

To Phillipine, Youth Month is about more than reflection — it’s a time to celebrate fresh energy and bold ideas. It’s also a reminder to support and recognise young people for the impact they’re already making.

Still Growing, Still Creating

Whether she’s creating a content plan, supporting a colleague, or designing a campaign, Phillipine brings both heart and purpose. At Life Green Group, she’s helping to grow the brand — and the people behind it.

At Life Green Group, growth is at the heart of everything we do — from landscapes and environments to innovation, strategy, and people.
